The event
It doesn't always have to be meat. More and more people are eating a vegetarian diet. It is only fair to them not to fob them off with the side dishes on a barbecue menu. With a few simple tricks, almost any vegetable can be turned into a great dish on the barbecue.
Tom grills "aubergine from the fire" with hummus, tahini and smoked egg as well as a "veggie carpaccio" of beetroot with yuzu and nuts.
