About Claudia Kordes
The story begins where Claudia Kordes is blown onto the stage of life in a colourful swirl of leaves on 14 November 1974: In Hamburg.
There, as an eighth-grade student, she is already in the management office of the renowned Axel Springer School of Journalism.
The goal: to write as a journalist about her favourite hobby - plants, gardens and greenery, so that the whole world would know about it.
After a short diversions via the Abitur, a fast-track commercial and horticultural apprenticeship, supplemented by an internship in a New Zealand tree nursery, Claudia completed the ‘Business Journalism and Corporate Communications’ degree programme at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. After extensive training in print, online, radio and TV, she worked in corporate communications at Mercedes-Benz, a renowned motorsport agency and AutoBild Motorsport before accepting a position as a freelance journalist at TASPO in 2012.
Her vocation is to tell stories about the green sector, plants and people.
