IVG Power Place Akku & Power Place City Gardening

On the theme islands of spoga+gafa 2019 in hall 6, everything revolves around innovative and smart technologies for the garden, as well as new products for the patio and balcony. In addition to product presentations, there are also informative lectures.

Whether hedge clippers, lawn trimmers or spray blowers for the application of plant protection products, battery technology has established itself with garden equipment in recent years as the alternative to wired devices or those with combustion motors. Battery operated products are becoming increasingly popular among both hobby and professional users, as they are easier to handle with the same performance capability and are more environmentally friendly. Especially when it comes to mowing robots, irrigation and garden lighting, smart solutions are also in demand. An increasing number of systems can now independently gather data, such as ground humidity, light level or temperature and react accordingly. That not only saves the garden owner work. It also avoids the waste of resources. There will this year once again be an overview of the latest developments on the IVG Power Place Akku theme island. Also there, among others, are companies like STIGA, MEROTEC or BIRCHMEIER/METABO. GLORIA, the manufacturer of spray and garden devices, is also presenting its new products. Following a cooperation with BOSCH, all GLORIA battery powered devices will be compatible with the BOSCH "Power for ALL" battery system as of 2020.

On the neighboring Power Place City Gardening theme island, the focus is on new products for the patio and balcony. From vertical plant walls and mini-greenhouses through multifunctional or modular lounge furniture to compact gas and electric grill devices, there are many ideas here for the "garden life" in a small area. Of course, ever more intelligent, digital helpers are being used on the city balcony or in the mini-city garden. Which is why GARDENA is also presenting the three finalists of its "garden award for innovative start-ups" in this context. In partnership with Koelnmesse, innovative entrepreneurs and founders who focus on sustainable solutions for the future of the "digital garden" will be distinguished for the first time this year with the award.
