Klára Biza
We talked to her about the next spoga+gafa and the topic of sustainability.
spoga+gafa is the biggest lifestyle garden fair in the world. How important is spoga+gafa for the Hungarian market?
spoga+gafa is not simply a garden trade fair, with its sections for garden work, designing a sports field, maintaining green spaces and even a whole fantastic section for garden centres it offers a large, professional overview of everything that one associates with the garden. Furthermore, spoga+gafa offers the possibility to establish and groom international relations. And since designing and maintaining green spaces and horticulture are experiencing a big boom in Hungary, the spoga+gafa exhibition in Cologne is a particularly important place for all experts, who work in these sections.
From next year on the spoga+gafa will be held in the middle or at the end of June. How will the new date affect the fair? What new impulses do you expect from spoga+gafa 2021?
The new exhibition dates were obviously very carefully chosen and introduced to the international trade fair calendar. The main spring season of the horticultural stores is just coming to an end in Hungary then and even the the school year is almost drawing to a close in June. Interested parties will thus have time to travel to Cologne and - based on what they see - gain new ideas, inspiration and enrichments for professional and business relations.
Sustainability will also be the trend theme at spoga+gafa 2021. How important is the topic of “Sustainable Gardens” in Hungary?
The theme "Sustainable Gardens" plays an increasingly important role. Discussions on this topic began several years ago in trade magazines and expert forums. Initially, at the time one actually had to explain the meaning of the word and engrave it into people's minds. Today, it has become part of public discourse and is found among the themes of many forums or consumer magazines. The Hungarians are very open to the subject.
