Vole Trap, Set of 4

Probe and corer tool included

Setting vole traps can be tricky, especially if you don’t have the right tools at hand. For this reason our set of four vole traps comes with a corer tool for digging holes and a probe to search for the tunnels. You can start fighting back against the pesky rodents right away!

Vole tunnels often run in straight lines between the vole hills. Try to stick the probe into the ground there. Where it sinks into the ground easily at first, but then with greater resistance, there is a good chance that there is a tunnel below the surface.

Now use the corer tool to dig a hole into the tunnel. Simply push it into the soil with a twisting motion. The Gardigo Vole Traps will fit exactly into the holes. Place the traps with the openings facing the direction of the tunnel.

Voles dislike a draught of air or light in their tunnels and would try to seal the tunnel with earth which they would dig into the trap. We recommend sealing the gap between the soil and the trap with leaves. Alternatively you could simply put a bucket over the trap.

Tensioning the trap is particularly easy: Simply hold it with one hand and pull up the lever with your other hand until it latches. As soon as a voles runs against the actuator, the trap will trigger.

You can tell whether the trap has triggered from the position of the handlebar. Pulling the trap out of the soil for checking is not necessary.
